Can you tell that I like my Christmas present?? Okay, maybe it's getting a little annoying, sorry. Anyway, it's New Years Eve and we're planning on playing tons and tons of games, that we got for Christmas, up at the Steveson's (with my Mom too!) Taboo, Scattegories, Catch Phrase... etc. It's gonna be FUN!

More fun in the Toy!

Pure Innocence
She was talking to me, "OOOOOO!!".
"EEEEHHHH!"
This is fun!
My favorite!!
Well, now that Christmas is over I'm beginning to feel a bit glum. It's either that or the fact that I keep eating like it's Christmas and haven't been on a walk in ages. I need to get back into the swing of things, especially for Layla. She is starting to really get irritated with how crazy things have been and has decided to go on strike against falling asleep. Well, she eventually falls asleep, but it's usually around midnight. I think she has gotten so used to the late night hang out sessions that seem to happen with the holidays. Hopefully we'll get that worked out soon.
OH! And she has found her thumb! About two weeks ago, she switched from gnawing on her fist, to finally popping that thumb in her mouth. I know it's a bad habit, but it's so dang cute AND it helps soothe her to sleep. We may have to address this situation at a further date, but as for now... it works.
As for me and my health, tests are still being done and progress is slow. What's new. We have an appointment with my Neurosurgeon on January 4th. That appointment should be very productive, because we should have ALL the test results in front of us and be able to asess ALL of the issues in one visit. I should know exactly what needs to be done after that, which will be a HUGE relief.
Anywho... Tanner is doing well. Enjoying his time off. (I think he worked a grand total of one day while being up here :) I just love him and appreciate everything that he does for Layla and I. I couldn't ask for a better husband!

New Toy!

One of the BEST pictures of her so far... on my new camera!
She stayed in this thing for about a half an hour, completely entertained!
So cute!
My brother Paul got Layla this bouncy play thing for Christmas and I finally put it together today! It took a while, finding all the pieces and figuring out where they all went, but it seems to have been worth it! She really likes it. I got a new camera too! I don't really know how to use it yet, I mean with all the settings and such, but it's really nice! It's a Olympus Stylus 820 8.0 all weather megapixel (whatever that means)
Christmas has been really fun for us here, although I am starting to miss having more privacy. I have NO idea how we'll bring all our stuff back home!! Oh well... that probably just means one of my family members will have to make the treacherous journey to Rexburg to deliver it! Well, I hope everyone has had a great time this holiday season!! Oh... and Emily, I was so sad to hear that you were sick Christmas Eve! I really wanted to see you and your family!! Hopefully we'll see ya sooner than later!

Funny!

Layla was trying to hide from the Doctor.
"Here he comes!!"
Mom's legs are like a jungle gym!
Hey hey hey!Santa is coming soon!!
Get my kisses ready!
All bundled up... and hating it.

Layla fast asleep, while she still slept with me. (she has now FINALLY graduated to her own crib)
Playing peek-a-boo with Mom!

Merry Christmas Eve!! I feel like I've been hibernating lately, unable to get out because of being sick. It's the pits. Especially when you know you have a bit more shopping to do! Hopefully I'll be able to get out today and pick up those last few things. I'm so excited that it's finally here, Christmas!! Today, we're having fondue with our friends, the Atherton's, here at my Mom's. Then we'll be going to the church later this evening to see all of Tanner's extended family, and see Santa :) Then we'll go up to the Steveson's and open pajamas! We'll wake up tomorrow at my Mom's, open presents, then drive right back up to the in-laws for more gift exchanging. (Thank goodness they're only 10 mins away). Then a big yummy dinner with both our families combined! Yay! I just hope I feel way better once it all starts!

Merry Christmas!

One More

My Layla
Sorry about that last depressing blog... things ARE crazy, but I'm doing just fine. Layla is growing and learning how to do all kinds of new things. She does a good job of keeping my mind off all the tough stuff! I love her.

Family Pictures

The lights were really bright and about a million people were calling her name so she'd look at the camera.

My Mom, Layla, and I. (She didn't like this pose very much)My brother Paul and his super pretty girlfriend Kayla.
Tanner and I
Up close
My loves
Cute!
Us again
The McGee kids
My family (my Mom loves Layla, can you tell?)

Here's a picture where my left arm makes me look like Stretch Armstrong.

She was making a super funny face

This has been a crazy couple of days and I think my heads still in a fog, trying to process it all. Plus I am SOOO sleep deprived!! Layla is sick and it keeps getting worse. Her nose is completely stuffed up and of course it's majorly worse at night. She sounds SO pathetic, it makes me cry. Tanner and I haven't been able to do anything fun together yet, because of all of my stupid doctor appointments... I've had stupid doctor appointments. My body hurts. And Tanner is still sleeping on an air mattress in my room, because the bed isn't big enough for all three of us (yes, Layla will NOT sleep outside of the bed yet, especially now that she's sick).

Sorry this was just a big blog full of complaints and depressing "feel sorry for myself" stuff. I know it's going to be okay and I will feed MUCH better once I get some sleep. Goodnight!
