Going Green

Okay, so this blog really isn't dedicated to going "green" per se, although we are doing our best to help the environment. We DO recycle! My mother in law got me this ribbon for my birthday (which was on the 16th, I forgot to post). I made Layla a shiny new bow!

Crawling maniac!
She really did love it in the toy box, at first.
"MOM!!"
Bad habits begin early... Tanner thought it'd be funny to give her a bottle of rootbeer and take a picture. She loved it, but now she won't let anyone drink any without whining for a taste. Oh, and Tanner spilled it all over her... twice.
She loves being tossed into the air! If you look closely, you can see her top tooth!
"Weeee!"
This picture makes me laugh, because it looks like she just smelled something awful!
Layla and Nonna. Layla's ears kinda look like an elf's in this picture.

Misc.

The beads amazed her!
Gotta taste them!
What a goofy grin!
Corn nose
"I love corn, but where's the butter?"

We Miss Aunt Leah and Isaiah!

We had so much fun with Aunt Leah and Isaiah! They were here for a week and it didn't seem long enough. Layla absolutely LOVES Isaiah. Whenever she saw, or even heard him, a HUGE smile would appear! She cracked up laughing so much when he was around. I wish I would have taken more pictures of them together.
My beautiful sister in law
I love how Isaiah is sticking his tounge out while his bum is on her head! :)
Here they are attempting to play together.
We love and miss you guys!

Fun Day at Nonna's

Layla and I decided to take a trip down to Nonna's and play. Here she is all ready to go!
She found the toy bucket right away! She has such a funny expression on her face!
"Get me outta here!"
Singing into the microphone!
I see you!
Cant get enough of those chubby cheeks!
"GRRRR I'm gonna get you Mommy!"
"This lipgloss is NOT my color"
This is how she propels herself across the floor.
"I found something!"

Splish Splash!

Tanner just plopped her in...
and she was a bit unsure at first...
but proceeded to flop right over and swim around!
This was the only shot I got of her face, she didn't want to take her eyes off the water! It was really sunny though, so whenever she did look up, her eyes were closed.
All done!

My Mother in Law bought a little kiddie pool for the babies. Layla ended up napping while all her cousins played in it. So she got to splash around by herself later that day. It's been REALLY hot here lately. Reaching the 90's, which is really intense for WA, especially because it's so humid! We've been soaking it up though. I just love summer time!

Sunny Day!

It was SO pretty outside today! I decided to make Layla a big new bow and dress her up in her some Summer clothes! Yay! She was so cute outside. The sun was a bit blinding, but felt so nice! She loved watching her cute cousin Isaiah run around and play. She just can't wait until she can join him!
Here's Layla getting ready for outside fun!
All decked out!
Like the bow?
Pretty baby
Daddy's shoulders are the BEST!
"I'm so tall!" Scanning the yard
Pouty lips :)

A New Tooth!

My poor, stubborn baby! Yesterday she was totally herself, playing down at Nonna's, not a problem. Then nightime hits. She refused to breastfeed! She wouldn't even latch on a little bit, even to try it out. Now if you know Layla, you'd know how unusual this is. All you have to do is look at her chub rolls to understand that she LOVES to eat. It really bothered me and I really had no idea what to do. She was up crying and screaming for quite some time and would only calm down if there was an interesting enough distraction. She wouldn't chew on anything or take her teething rings. She wouldn't even play. She finally passed out while watching some crazy infomercial about an egg beater. Then this morning, she woke up and wouldn't eat AGAIN! Not even a little. I started thinking that she was trying to wean herself and simply wasn't interested anymore. So sad. I finally decided to pump (mainly because of the pain) and my Mother in law gave her a bottle. She took it immeadiatly and fell right asleep. Crazy girl. My thoughts were that maybe her mouth was too sore and she just didnt want to work as hard for food. Bottles allow the milk to flow pretty easily (at least that's what I'm telling myself). Anyway... we both took a good long nap and when she woke she was pretty much back to normal with a brand new little tooth. What an ordeal. I wish there weren't so many teeth in the human mouth! Unfortunately I have lots more to look forward to.

I forgot to mention that it's her left front tooth (on top). I can't wait to see what it'll look like when it moves in more! Although, I know it won't help with the biting.
