Hug Me

Two things are pretty evident:
1.) I absolutely LOVE my girls, therefore take millions of pictures of them to remember each moment.
2.) I got a new camera for Christmas and am LOVING it!

perfect fit

Layla REALLY wanted to try on her dress for Sharsti's wedding. How could I deny her this chance to feel "bootiful".

A pretty dress for a pretty girl.
If it were up to Layla, this is what she'd wear 24/7.

Gwen video

Gwen is smiley about 95% of the time she's awake. It's SO much fun. She was actually pretty tired here, but did manage to give us a good grin!

Don't pay attention to the fact that Layla's hair is crazy and she's on top of the island. I promise I don't normally let her up there.

Not sure if you can hear it in the background, but when I make dinner I usually have some music playing and dance around the kitchen with Layla. Makes the routine much more exciting! Learned that from my in-laws :)

Mr. Potato Head

Two quick stories, both related to Mr. Potato Head.

1.) Layla was upstairs this morning scooting about from room to room, looking for something to do when she found her mini doodle pro. She quickly sketched a picture and ran to Dad telling him that she drew Mr. Potato Head. He looked at her picture and sure enough, it resembles the toy potato. As her parents, we obviously think she's brilliant.

After Gwen was born I tried to single Layla out and make her feel special by telling her how big she is and pointing out all the things big girls can do. We would frequently talk about how fun it was that Layla was big enough to eat treats and fun food, because she had teeth and babies don't. Now, she'll make a point to mention this to Gwen each time she eats, "You have no teeth, but Waywa has teeth!" That kind of thing.
Well, today I was cleaning up in the kitchen and noticed Layla going over to sleeping Gwen. I peeked in on her saw her clutching Mr. Potato Head's teeth, saying, "Here's some teeth for you Gwennie".
Just Precious.
Then I had to make sure she didn't actually stick the teeth into the baby's mouth.
