Fun Layla Videos

This first one is of Layla playing her favorite game... Sneezing! It's cute, but it has slowly turned into spitting, which isn't always so pleasant. She thinks it's so funny though.

We put Layla on the dinner table when we eat dinner, so she can feel like she's joining us. Tanner was playing with her while I was cleaning up. Super cute!

Sassy Seat Jumper

My Mom sent Layla this jumperoo as a suprise. I was much more excited to see it than Layla was, although she really liked the box. Yes, she's hanging in the doorway to the bathroom downstairs, but there was NO other place to put it down here and I just wanted to try it out. She doesn't really know what to do with it yet. She just kept spinning around and slouching to one side, but at least she didn't hate it! I think she'll get the hang of it soon, but then I'll have to mover her upstairs because I don't want her smashing into the toilet!

Look how little and cute her legs are!

Night Time

Reading Scriptures with Dad. She loves that Glow Worm.
All wrapped up!
"This is the biggest smile you'll get out of me... I'm tired!"

Last night, Layla was acting really sleepy earlier than normal. We weren't complaining, since her usual bedtime has been around midnight. So, we decided to continue with the bedtime routine, adding a good swaddling for old times sake. It was so cute. And her blonder hair is much more obvious in these new pictures.

A Steveson Update

My tired Baby... (Tanner says he looks pregnant in this picture :)
Bishop Samuelson painted this picture of the new Rexburg Temple and gave us a print! I post this now, because we went to the Temple Open House tonight with our friends Luke and Haylee. It was BEAUTIFUL! Such a special experience to go with my little family. Although Layla started screaming at one point and finally fell asleep once we got to the Sealing Room. All in all, it was really nice.
Some of the best cookies that I've made here in Rexburg! Just the way Tanner likes them, still a little gooey in the middle :) And, I don't like a ton of chocolate chips, so it's perfect for me too!

Today was a good day. Although, I bet Layla would disagree. Tanner had the day off from school and work, which was a treat. He drove Layla and I to the Doctor this morning for her 4 month check up. A little late, I know. She's almost 5 months now, but we were in WA when it was originally scheduled. Anyway, she weighs 15lbs. 5oz. and was 25 inches long. She got her shots too... which I HATE!! I was so glad to have Tanner there, to hold MY hand! She was a trooper, screamed for a minute, but settled down really quickly and was happy as a clam for the first half of the day. Things seemed to take a turn for the worse when she woke up from her afternoon nap. Thank goodness for tylenol! We made cookies at home, met the neighbors, and then went to the Temple!

Layla's hair is slowly turning blonde! It's really cute. Most of her baby hair has fallen out and is now being replaced by peach fuzz. She rolls over every day now too. Only in her crib when she's fussing, but still! She grabs for everything in sight, including her own hands. Super cute. She screams a lot now too... well it's more like a squeal, but it's SOOOO loud. It seems like she'll do it at the worst times. Like during Sacrament Meeting, or on our drive home on the shuttle when everyone is trying to sleep. Oh well, she's a goofy girl, but we love her!

New Pictures!

"On my way to the Doctor's"
"I just love going outside!"
"Hey Butterfly, this is MY seat!"
Diggin for Gold
The bikes are covered!! Have fun riding your bike in this!
"Geeze Mom, put some make-up on!"
Talking up a storm these days.
Her cheeks look so cute in this picture! I love her eyes too! They're almost the exact same color as Tanners.
"I'm going to eat you!!!!"

I took Layla in to the Doctor's this morning, because she was acting very strange yesterday. Kept throwing up and fussing so much! She wouldn't sleep very well either. Today she seems to be doing much better and the doctor says that she is as healthy as can be! She may have had a little stomach virus or somthing, OR... it could just be more of the teething stuff.

Well Layla has started something new. Right when I feel as though she's starting a good sleep routine, taking two good naps during the day and sleeping for a long stretch at night... she decides to mix it all up! Now she's just so strong that she'll flip herself over while sleeping and wake herself up! What a silly girl. I don't know what to do about this, except to just flip her back over and hope she falls asleep again? Well, as you can see from that picture with the bikes... the snow isn't letting up much. Thankfully all of our appointments have been at a time when Tanner can take us, because I am a horrible "snow driver". I slip and slide all over the road. Well, that's it for now. Have a great weekend!

Layla Faces

"What you lookin at?"
BIG STRETCH!!
My cutie pies!
Yes, she is teething. Bring on the slobber!!
Sweet Girl
Nice face there Layla :)
Gummy "Yeah, I'm cute and I totally know it!"
I was playing peek-a-boo here, by hiding under the front of her toy and then popping up. It scared her each time, but then a smile would quickly surface! FUN!

Layla has started this new "trick" by spitting at us. Is that normal? I dunno, she's a weirdo. She thinks it's hilarious! Right when I enter the room and start talking to her she gets so excited that she'll start spitting! She has some great range too! She has nailed Tanner and I in the face quite a few times now. A while ago we started fake sneezing at her, because it'd make her laugh up a storm and she started imitating us. I think this new spitting is just how the "fake sneeze" has evolved. Such a goof ball! I'll try to get a video of it!

"I love you Nonna!"

Bundle Up!

It's freezing freezing cold here and I don't believe that I've seen more snow in my entire life! We finally got Layla a carseat cover thingy, but it's pretty ugly, but that's okay. She is growing so fast! It has taken her a while to adjust to life back in Rexburg, but she seems to like it fine. Although, she has a horrible habit of staying up till midnight and then sleeping in till 10am. I'm trying to wake her up earlier in the morning, but then she just takes a million naps all day! I don't know what to do just yet... But I love her!
OH, and she puts everything in her mouth! She is slobbering a ton too, which I think means she's starting to teeth! Yipee!

Watching Football

Layla actually LOVES sports. She'll watch so carefully, as if she doesn't want to miss anything! So cute. We're actually going home to Rexburg today! Well, we probably wont get in until late, but that's okay. I sure am going to miss being around my family, and Tanner's. It has been SO nice having them all so close. Hopefully our next visit wont be too long from now, so Layla wont forget them! She has changed so much since we've been here!! She is now starting to roll over onto her back, talks up a storm (babbling), plays with toys, hates to be held like a baby :( She's growing up!
She is our joy!

Barking Baby!

Here's Layla trying to talk to me (sorry for my goofy voice!). She keeps making really high pitched noises that end up scaring her, it's so cute. I'm just glad I caught it on a video.

Shark Attack

Concentrating hard on what she's typing.
Bibs are a MUST, now that she saturates every shirt she wears with slobber.
Yum, a shark!
Her and I... lounging in my jammies.
Dad! I love you!

Layla got a little shark bath toy from my Mom for Christmas and she loves to hold it. It's so cute to see her wave it all around and hit herself in the face. I just love her! Oh... and she also loves the keyboard.
