Layla is a tummy sleeper, so whenever I hear her awake on the monitor, I know she's flipping over. It's the cutest thing though, to catch her in that moment. She gets SOOO excited to see either Tanner or I come and get her! She's a major drooler too.

My Funny Baby
Hahahahaha! If you look closely you can see her fat lip and gums pressed up against the glass. Love it. Oh... and I know my wrist/arm looks freaky freaky. Don't ask why.

Her first truly uncomfortable sleeping position. Had to have it on camera.

OH my... Layla has such a silly/fun personality! I love getting to know her! She has such a sweet spirit, that just radiates whenever you're in the same room. We are truly blessed to have her!

Fun Layla Videos
This first one is of Layla playing her favorite game... Sneezing! It's cute, but it has slowly turned into spitting, which isn't always so pleasant. She thinks it's so funny though.
We put Layla on the dinner table when we eat dinner, so she can feel like she's joining us. Tanner was playing with her while I was cleaning up. Super cute!

Sassy Seat Jumper
My Mom sent Layla this jumperoo as a suprise. I was much more excited to see it than Layla was, although she really liked the box. Yes, she's hanging in the doorway to the bathroom downstairs, but there was NO other place to put it down here and I just wanted to try it out. She doesn't really know what to do with it yet. She just kept spinning around and slouching to one side, but at least she didn't hate it! I think she'll get the hang of it soon, but then I'll have to mover her upstairs because I don't want her smashing into the toilet!
Night Time
Reading Scriptures with Dad. She loves that Glow Worm.

Last night, Layla was acting really sleepy earlier than normal. We weren't complaining, since her usual bedtime has been around midnight. So, we decided to continue with the bedtime routine, adding a good swaddling for old times sake. It was so cute. And her blonder hair is much more obvious in these new pictures.

A Steveson Update
My tired Baby... (Tanner says he looks pregnant in this picture :)

Today was a good day. Although, I bet Layla would disagree. Tanner had the day off from school and work, which was a treat. He drove Layla and I to the Doctor this morning for her 4 month check up. A little late, I know. She's almost 5 months now, but we were in WA when it was originally scheduled. Anyway, she weighs 15lbs. 5oz. and was 25 inches long. She got her shots too... which I HATE!! I was so glad to have Tanner there, to hold MY hand! She was a trooper, screamed for a minute, but settled down really quickly and was happy as a clam for the first half of the day. Things seemed to take a turn for the worse when she woke up from her afternoon nap. Thank goodness for tylenol! We made cookies at home, met the neighbors, and then went to the Temple!
Layla's hair is slowly turning blonde! It's really cute. Most of her baby hair has fallen out and is now being replaced by peach fuzz. She rolls over every day now too. Only in her crib when she's fussing, but still! She grabs for everything in sight, including her own hands. Super cute. She screams a lot now too... well it's more like a squeal, but it's SOOOO loud. It seems like she'll do it at the worst times. Like during Sacrament Meeting, or on our drive home on the shuttle when everyone is trying to sleep. Oh well, she's a goofy girl, but we love her!

New Pictures!
"On my way to the Doctor's"

I took Layla in to the Doctor's this morning, because she was acting very strange yesterday. Kept throwing up and fussing so much! She wouldn't sleep very well either. Today she seems to be doing much better and the doctor says that she is as healthy as can be! She may have had a little stomach virus or somthing, OR... it could just be more of the teething stuff.
Well Layla has started something new. Right when I feel as though she's starting a good sleep routine, taking two good naps during the day and sleeping for a long stretch at night... she decides to mix it all up! Now she's just so strong that she'll flip herself over while sleeping and wake herself up! What a silly girl. I don't know what to do about this, except to just flip her back over and hope she falls asleep again? Well, as you can see from that picture with the bikes... the snow isn't letting up much. Thankfully all of our appointments have been at a time when Tanner can take us, because I am a horrible "snow driver". I slip and slide all over the road. Well, that's it for now. Have a great weekend!
