New Bike!

Layla got this bike for her Birthday from our friend Shelly. I finally decided to put it together last week. Layla absolutely loves it even though she can't quite reach the petals yet...
Here she is testing it out

"How do I look Ma?"

A little unsure...

A foot rest?

"Are you sure this thing is safe??"

RSVP?

Hey, I've been thinking a lot about this Cookie Party and I've decided that it was a mistake to plan for Friday. That's when most husbands are finally home from work/school and ready to spend time with the fam. I'm not sure if many people will be able to come. Everything is still a GO, but I just wanted to check with my friends in the blogging world to get a better sense of how many can make it! I'm sorry for scheduling it at a bad time, but I'd still really like to see you!

Cookie Exchange!!

Okay... I'm attempting to throw a Cookie Exchange Party at my house next Friday, the 19th from 5-7pm! I think it'd be fun to get girls together (kids are more than welcome) and share your favorite cookie recipe. I haven't been able to catch up with everyone yet, since moving back to Rexburg, so I think this will be a great opportunity to reconnect! Here's the drill: Everyone makes 2 dozen of your favorite cookie (or however many come out of a batch) and once everyone arrives, we'll put them all out so we can all share! Each person should be able to take a few of each home as well! Feel free to bring a favorite game too, if you want.

I really hope you can make it, but if you can't that's okay. And I don't want you to feel obligated to make a bunch of cookies, I'd just love to see you!

DIRECTIONS
(I'm sorry, I realized how dumb it was to post my directions online and so now you must message me if you're interested and then I'll let you know how to get here! Hope to see you Friday!)

My Tough Girl

Ouchie!

She wouldn't let me take a picture of the front (where the REAL owie is). She scrapped a lot of the skin off of the palm of her hand :(

Okay... I feel a little better (after tylenol)

Thankfully you can't see my face, because I'm sure it looked pretty crazy. Somehow I was able to get some smiles. (and you can see one of her new teeth!)

My drugged up little girl was MUCH more cuddly than usual. I was soaking it up!

Owie!

Layla has fallen outside and scraped her hands pretty badly. She is currently distracted from the pain by a Baby Einstein DVD and fruit snacks, but will scream and cry the minute she remembers her hands hurt. I feel AWFUL! I've washed the cuts out and put some neosporin on them (she quckly rubbed it all off and smacked me in the face) I just don't know what else I can do! She wouldn't let me put any bandages on them and I've already given her some tylenol. I think this is the saddest thing I've been through with her. She keeps trying real hard to play and do her normal things, but her hands are so badly scratched up that I'm sure it hurts bad! If you have any advice, please let me know!!

Presents from Grandpa!

Here's her first reaction after waking up from a nap, note the hair. (No, Layla doesn't wear the same outfit every day. This was the same day as the previous post, I am just behind.
She's so excited!!

"Really? For me?!"

"And a musical shoe!?"
Layla is so silly... she loves the presents, but she REALLY loves the card. She carries it around with her everywhere. She'll sit down, pull it out and "read" it. So cute.

Thank you so much Dad. Packages are so much fun, especially when we're so far away from everyone. Layla has definitely made out like a bandit from her Birthday, such a spoiled girl. I guess that's how it goes when she's the first grandchild (on my family's side :)

Overalls!

(She's not so sure she likes the whole overall get up in the top picture...)

She's such a cute girl!

Getting ready this morning, we decided to try the pig tails! (these are kinda out of order)

Here she is running away from me! (don't ask me why this is underlined)
