Web Cam Sillies

We decided to have some fun on our photo booth setting. Layla thought I was nuts, but quickly caught on to all the silly fun.

Here's our family one... Tanner kinda creeps me out in this one. I don't think his expression changes at all!

And the weird one... Layla was definitely confused and maybe a little disgusted. I don't blame her :)

Chicken or Seahorse?

My piece of chicken was going through an identity crisis...

Luckily this mix up was solved by cooking him in an enchilada.

Happy Birthday Tanner!

Happy Birthday Tanner!

Tanner is 25 today! We celebrated yesterday, by inviting friends over, eating yummy food, and playing Rock Band 2! I am so blessed to have such an amazing husband. I couldn't imagine my life without him... it'd be boring. So, I decided to post 25 things that I love about him:

1. He is extremely good looking!
2. He can fix pretty much anything around the house and is always thinking of projects and things to build. I love that creating spirit about him.
3. On days where he doesn't have to be to school early, he'll get Layla up and feed her breakfast, so I can sleep in a little longer. So nice.
4. He loves the Lord and honors his Priesthood. I am so thankful for that!
5. He takes out the trash, so I don't have to.
6. He's a VERY hard worker! With everything. School, Church callings, being a Dad... etc.

Align Left

7. He's not afraid to be silly with Layla. And she loves him for it!
8. He'll take Layla on outings if I'm really busy.
9. He doesn't snore... often.
10. Tanner's picture should be by the word Loyal in the dictionary.
11. He cuts his own hair. I think it's really cute. I also love that he asks me to trim the back.
12. He loves anything I make for dinner and NEVER complains.
13. He loves and respects his Mother. A VERY good quality.
14. He also loves his nieces and nephews a TON! It's so much fun watching them together.
15. He gives GREAT backrubs!
16. He rocks out to Rock Band. Dances and everything. It's great.
17. Family Nights are always fun when Tanner has planned the lesson.

18. He loves cuddling up with Layla, especially when she falls asleep on him. So cute.
19. He has great goals and dreams for the future... our future.
20. He loves my family and is always SO kind to them. My Mom loves him!
22. He rarely starts a fight and has NEVER raised his voice to me.
23. When I'm sick, he'll do everything he can to make me comfortable.
24. He says I make the best cookies in the world.
25. He's mine... all mine!

Lovely

We experimented a lot after I cut her hair. It was a lot of fun.

Layla absolutely LOVES yogurt too.

Family Night

Tanner planned family night this week. His lesson was on things that Heavenly Father has given us to be thankful for. This is his visual.
(The sun, sky, clouds, trees, and Layla. I love how he drew her. He said he couldn't find scissors :)

We used the T.V. as our board.

I asked Layla to say cheese.

Layla's New Friend

Layla and I went to the park today, because it was so sunny out! We were hoping for ducks, but were in luck to find this nice old doggy instead. Layla was in HEAVEN! She LOVES animals, especially dogs. On the ride to the park, she kept saying, "kuck, kuck" (that her version of "quack") because I told her we'd be seeing duckies. Right when she saw the dog, it immediately switched to, "ooof, ooof!!" and she loves to pant like a dog. So silly.

She had a permanent smile on her face!

She chased this dog for about a half hour! The owners were very kind.

She would walk right up to her and take her ball. I told her to throw it, so she would go get it. She somehow mistook that for throwing it in the dog's face. She didn't seem to mind. The dog's owners said she was used to a bunch of grandkids. That made me feel better. Thankfully I had a bunch of wipes to clean that slobber off her hands too!

Disneyland Day One

There are SO, SO many pictures to sort through, I apologize. I decided that two posts would be sufficient. It was honestly some of the best fun I've had in a long time. No regrets, although I missed my Layla girl like crazy and cherished our phone conversations. There's nothing like hearing, "Mommy, wuh boo" (love you), when you're so far away from your baby.

I am SO appreciative of my husband. He is nothing short of WONDERFUL in every way. Layla absolutely LOVES her Daddy and I am so blessed that they have each other. I am also thankful for my amazing sister in law who invited my family to stay with them for the weekend. It was so comforting to know that another Mom would be around, to give her those extra hugs and cuddles. Thank you!!

And now we'll get on with the show...
(Sorry there's a lot. I have to also note that to those of you who don't know me personally, you may be shocked by the extreme goofiness that shines through like a gem)

Our hotel was right across the street, so we were the lucky ones who got to walk everywhere! This is like an hour before the park opened. We were WAY too excited to stay locked up inside. Let me introduce you to my brother Paul. (He's the one RIGHT in front) WAY fun, WAY silly, WAY talented. He took most of the pictures on our trip. I was too excited to remember to do anything except love Disneyland. Paul told us to act excited... I think I win.

Okay, this is funny to me, because it's my Mom taking the picture. We requested to have our picture taken, while jumping for joy.
 This was the result.

The lovely train station! Thankfully, Paul chose not to let the boot into the picture.

Beautiful Day

Mom and I.
Take notice that my hair looks relatively styled and normal now. That did not last.

I thought this picture was really interesting. It makes the castle look very dark and almost creepy, which is a strong contrast to the bright and cheery appearance we all can recall in our minds of Disneyland.
The dark side...

You can already see my hair flattening. The Matterhorn is a great ride. We rode it many times and noticed that the track on the left is definitely better.

My Family (minus my Loves)

There's a huge rocket mist blaster right outside of Space Mountain. My brothers waited probably 10 minutes for it to turn on. I really like how this picture turned out. It captures Andrew perfectly, his personality even. He's a very passionate and intense guy. He has a very easy going appearance, which can be deceiving, because once you begin to talk with him it's clear that he has so much more to say. I just love how he stands out, almost as if he's been waiting to be seen in the right light. (okay I may be going to deep... it is late at night)

And I just thought this giant snow globe was cool, so I was glad to see that Paul took a picture of it :)

We had never been to California Adventure and were pleasantly surprised with all that it had to offer. Although I did most of my exploring there on Day 2.

My hair had officially called it quits at this point.

Main Street all lit up and sparkly

Yeah... what did I say about being goofy? I think it may be a bit eccentric here.

Indiana Jones is SO great though!

Can you spot the "Hidden Mickey"? We were pretty proud of ourselves.

(It's the outline of Mickey Mouses head... Don't feel too bad if you can't see it. A young couple next to us probably thought we were insane for taking pictures of a wall, they obviously weren't looking hard enough) :)

So that's it for Day 1. Such a fun day. We actually fit some time in for eating and swimming, although this was NOT a vacation to catch up on sleep. I was WAY too excited each day.
