My very talented (and gorgeous) friend Miriam took our family pictures this last weekend. She took us to a beautiful park, called Twin Bridges. Such a fun location! Getting two wiggly kids to look at the camera is a challenge, but she managed to capture some really, REALLY great shots. She was very professional and creative. I really like her style. Thanks again Miriam!

What are we really up to...
Well, the girls and I hang out pretty much all day long, playing, learning, sometimes driving each other nuts, and enjoying the sunshine while it lasts. Tanner works all day, leaves around 5 something and gets home around 7pm. We miss him. A lot. But I love my girls and am so proud and thankful to be their Mommy.
(we like to sit out front and wait for Tanner to get home. Love Gwen's little cow lick in the back of her head)
My girlies have been quite sick this last week, downing orange juice and using the AMAZING "boogie wipes". I LOVE those, genius invention!
Gwen has been trying to grow up way too quickly and now has completely weaned herself! Still not sure how I feel about that...
It has amazed me how quickly they have become so close. I mean they can't TRULY communicate yet, not with words anyway and Gwen is still working on keeping up with Layla, but they love each other so much. Layla loves going up to "get Gwen" when she hears her wake up. Really, she just talks to her and gives her toys, but it's so cute. I usually hear, " Hi Gwennie!! You sleep good?? You're so silly!" and then a few little squeals from Gwen. LOVE that!
We're gearing up for a long winter without any trips, just us, in our home, for the holidays (all of them). I'm sure we'll save a bunch of money, but I'm still not sure how I feel about that either...
I've started to be creative again. Making stuff and such and it feels good. Who knows if it'll go anywhere, but it's therapeutic for me.
Layla has a love/hate relationship with pre-school. She gets excited when she wakes when I tell her it's a school day, but then the moment we get in the car to drive there she changes her mind. I have to carry her to inside, but she always warms up quickly (or so I'm told) and then is very happy to tell me all about everything when I pick her up. So... she's kind of silly.... which is very apparent in the photo below.
Gwen thinks so too...
... still not too sure what she was doing...
Gwen seems to be reading my mind.
Okay, to me the "terrible 2's" were nothing compared with the "terrible 3's". Seriously, I have never experienced this much defiance or sour attitude from my little girl before. And the tantrums, oh the tantrums! She is the sweetest, most beautiful thing one moment and then BAM, she tuns into a crazy girl, possessed by something awful it seems. Tanner had one of his first experiences with the "crazy" girl at the grocery store a week ago. She screamed bloody murder, collapsed herself to the floor, kicked and screamed, and then proceeded to throw up all over him. So nice. Do any of you Mom's know what I'm talking about?
The best part is that Gwen will usually just laugh at Layla during a "bad moment" and then Layla will say, "GWEN! No! It's NOT funny!!"
One of my latest felt clips...
... and another. I am having too much fun with this!
So, Tanner really likes his internship and they supposedly really like him back (who doesn't love Tanner?). We may be staying in Idaho for a LONG time. But that's okay, as long as I have the ones I love most with me.

"Heartfelt"
Anyone who really knows me, knows that I like to have projects. I get so excited trying and then mastering new things.
Lately I've been feeling felt.
I've been inspired to try and create some fun felt clips for my girls and must say that
I'm in love.
So, here are a few of my MANY new creations. Hope you enjoy.
love how she's blowing a bubble in the picture below...
Cinderella Bride
Layla found my wedding bouquet in my closet and then decided that she HAD to wear a dress to match. She's so much fun, she even insisted that I took pictures of her as a Cinderella bride.
I love my gorgeous, imaginative girl.
Just wish she'd stay little forever...
But it'd be just fine with me if you decided to sleep in your big girl bed for a change.
Thanks.
